Simple 1 Cup
AeroPress Brew
8 steps · Under 5 minutes · No fuss, great coffee every time
Brew Method
- 1Grind Your Beans
Pour 1 scoop of your chosen beans into your 1Zpresso manual burr grinder.
- 2Set Grinder to Fine
Confirm and set the burr grinder to the fine setting before grinding. Finer grind = more flavor. Coarser grind = lighter cup. Adjust to your taste — this is your starting point.
💡 Every bean is different. Once you find a setting you love, note it down so you can repeat it consistently. - 3Heat Your Water
Heat water to 190–195°F using your Fellow Stagg EKG Pro kettle. Higher temperature = more flavor. Lower = lighter extraction. Stay between 180°F and 200°F — outside that range and results suffer.
💡 The Fellow Stagg EKG Pro holds exact temperature — set it and it stays there while you prep everything else. - 4Load the AeroPress
Pour your freshly ground coffee into the AeroPress chamber over the paper filter. Screw the filter cap firmly into place. Set the AeroPress over your cup, ready to receive the water.
- 5Pour Water
Pour hot water slowly over the coffee grounds, filling the AeroPress chamber up to the number 4 line on the side of the apparatus.
💡 Pour in a slow, circular motion to saturate all the grounds evenly. No dry pockets. - 6Stir 10 Times
Use the AeroPress stirring stick and stir the coffee and water mixture 10 times. This ensures even saturation and kicks off extraction evenly across all the grounds.
- 7Press
Place the plunger on top of the chamber and press down slowly and steadily using the AeroPress plunger. Apply even pressure — no need to rush. Stop when you hear a soft hiss.
💡 If pressing takes a lot of force, your grind is too fine. If it drops with no resistance, go slightly finer next time. - 8Enjoy
That’s it — a freshly brewed cup of coffee to start your morning. Try it black first to taste the full character of your Kingdom Coffee Roaster beans, then add milk or sugar to your preference.
